In each book, the first three chapters teach the philosophical principles with application to various social issues such as poverty, disabilities, immigration, and capital punishment. The fourth chapter of each book applies learned principles to the more challenging issues of abortion and euthanasia. Students integrate important philosophical concepts before tackling the life issues, which allows them to more readily understand, embrace, and articulate Church teaching on respect for human life.
